Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot made a shocking comment on Sunday amid the intrigue surrounding the identity of the CM, saying that the younger generation should be given the opportunity to take the helm. Gehlot made the remark while addressing the media while visiting Jaisalmer to pray at the Tanot Mata Temple. A few MLAs from Gehlot’s camp are reportedly present in a meeting organised by state minister Shanti Dhariwal while Gehlot was in Jaisalmer on Sunday.
According to sources, the conference was called to determine the Gehlot camp’s next move should Pilot be elected as the CM. State ministers Mahesh Joshi and Shakuntala Rawat as well as MLAs Danish Abrar, Mahendra Choudhary, and Alok Beniwal are present at Dhariwal’s home. Tents, according to sources, have been ordered for Dhariwal’s home. Gehlot, however, has demonstrated through his remark that he differs from this group and desires to support the youthful leadership. When a CLP meeting has been set at his home for 7 p.m. in the evening, he will return to Jaipur. Another candidate, CP Joshi, has been silent throughout the entire situation.
