BJP-led NDA Candidate Jagdeep Dhankhar Elected As India’s 14th Vice President

Formal West Bengal Governor and BJP-led National Democratic Alliance(NDA) candidate Jagdeep Dhankhar won India’s Vice Presidential Election 2022 after defeating Opposition candidate Margaret Alva by 346 votes on Saturday.

India’s new vice president Jagdeep Dhankhar will take the pledge of office on August 11, a day after the term of the incumbent Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu ends.

The results were announced by the Lok Sabha General secretary Utpal K Singh of Vice Presidential Elections. Where Jagdeep Dhankar won with huge numbers of votes with 528, while Margret Alva secure 182 votes.
