On Sunday evening, an explosion occurred in Shillong’s most famous commercial hub, the police bazaar (Khyndailad), near Delhi’s Mistan Bhandar. However, no formal response has been issued as of yet. So yet, no injuries have been recorded. The reason for the explosion is yet unknown. At approximately 6.30 p.m., the incident occurred.
According to accounts, the explosion may have been caused due to the hurling of a petrol bomb.
The cause is yet unknown, as police personnel has barred anyone to access the area following the event, and a bomb squad team has arrived at the scene.
However, because it was a weekend, there were few people in the area, despite the fact that it is one of the busiest business areas in the city, and people flock to the area on weekdays. As a result, no substantial resentment arose as a result of the catastrophe.
