CSM protesters oppose moving animals from the Assam State Zoo to the Ambani-owned Zoo

On Thursday, villagers and members of the Chiriyakhana Suraksha Mancha (CSM) demonstrated against the relocation of animals from the Assam State Zoo to the Mukhesh Ambani-owned Zoo. Animals from the Assam State Zoo were allegedly illegally moved to the Ambani-owned Zoo, according to protesters.
GS Zoo Chiriyakhana Mancha employee Rajkumar Baishya said: "Locals and Siriyakhana Suraksha Mancha members demonstrated in front of the Assam State Zoo against the transfer of zoo animals to other private zoos. They claimed that zoo animals had been forcibly removed from the Assam State Zoo."
"Whatever that is happening here is illegal since animals have been illegally relocated to a private zoo owned by Mukhesh Ambani," a protester said.
