Dr. Binita Pathak, an Assistant Professor from Dibrugarh University’s Department of Physics, has been chosen for the prestigious ‘SERB – Women Excellence Award 2022’ organized by the Science and Engineering Research Board, a statutory body of India’s Department of Science and Technology (DST).
Dr. Binita Pathak is an assistant professor of physics and an adjunct faculty member at Dibrugarh University’s Centre for Atmospheric Studies.
Pathak is the first individual from Dibrugarh University to receive this honour. She has over 30 publications published in international journals and was just awarded the prestigious SERB-Women Excellence Award 2022.
The SERB Women Excellence Award is a one-time honour bestowed on female scientists under the age of 40 who have won distinction from one or more of the following national academies: Young Scientist Medal, Young Associate, and so on.
This award was founded in 2013 to honour young female scientists who have the potential to excel in research. These women researchers will be supported with a research grant of Rs.5.00 lakh per year for the next three years.
