Elon Musk buys Twitter for $44bn; “my wrost critic will remain on twitter”…
Elon Musk, a billionaire entrepreneur, has made a USD 44 billion takeover offer to Twitter’s board of directors. Tesla’s CEO made the surprising bid earlier this month, claiming to be the best person to “unlock” the microblogging site’s enormous potential.
The news boosted Twitter’s stock by 5.7 percent.
Current Twitter stockholders would receive $54.20 per share in cash, a 38 percent premium over the social media giant’s share price earlier this month. Musk expressed his desire on Twitter that even his worst opponents would remain on the platform.
