The Indian Embassy in Kyiv has encouraged Indian nationals to begin moving towards the bordering areas so that they can be securely evacuated after Ukraine closed its airspace after Russia initiated a military incursion in the country on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the United Nations Security Council is set to vote on a draft resolution on Russia’s military action in Ukraine and the growing crisis in the eastern European country on Friday evening. The draft resolution is expected to strongly condemn Russia’s military action in Ukraine, which has sparked widespread indignation among Western powers.
