Following SS Rajamouli's RRR, Kantara by Rishab Shetty was submitted for Oscar consideration

Kantara, a historical action thriller by Rishab Shetty, has been nominated for the 2023 Academy Awards, generally known as the Oscars, following SS Rajamouli's RRR. Hombale Productions founder Vijay Kiragandur acknowledged as much in a recent interview, adding that they are optimistic. The popular Kannada movie Kantara, written and directed by Rishab Shetty, opened to a roaring reception on September 30.
