Hijab Row: Karnataka CM ordered 3 days Schools & Colleges to remain closed

In response to the rising protests over the Hijab ban, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj S Bommai has ordered the closure of all schools and colleges in the state for the next three days. The state chief executive announced the decision on Twitter on Tuesday, urging students and teachers to keep the peace in the state.

Violence erupted earlier in the day in numerous colleges across the state between Hijab wearers and saffron scarf wearers.

“I appeal to all students, instructors, and management of schools and institutions, as well as the people of Karnataka, to maintain peace and unity,” Basavaraj S Bommai remarked. I’ve ordered that all high schools and colleges be closed for the next three days. All parties involved are asked to collaborate.”
