Srinivasa Ramanujan is a famous 20th-century mathematician who made significant contributions to number theory, mathematical analysis, continuous fractions, and infinite series. In the case of the analytical theory of numbers, infinite series, and elliptic functions, Ramajan had enormous control and was well-known for his significant contribution in these fields.
This year, on the 134th anniversary of Dr. Ramanujan’s birth, the country commemorates the 10th National Mathematics Day.
Despite having no formal training in sophisticated mathematical concepts, Ramanujan mastered trigonometry at the age of 12 and went on to make significant contributions to mathematical concepts such as number theory, infinite series, and continuing fractions.
Srinivasa Ramanujan’s 125th birthday was designated as National Mathematics Day in 2012 when it was proclaimed by Dr. Manmohan Singh, India’s Prime Minister at the time. Since then, the Day has served to honor and celebrate the contribution of the genius in the field of Mathematics.
