Once again, India is seeing an increase in Covid-19 cases. In recent months, it has been brought under control to a certain extent, with a very low number of patients afflicted and a downward trend in the death rate. Meanwhile, daily instances of Covid-19 increased by 21% in just 24 hours, with India recording over 1.4 lakh new infections on Friday, just a day after the daily count passed the 1-lakh mark for the first time in seven months.
While Omicron cases in the country totaled 3071, with 1203 people recovering from the rapidly spreading illness.
