President of India Shri Ram Nath Kovind’s five years tenure is set to an end in July. Following on this the Election Commission of India to announce the Presidential election schedule at 3 pm today.

Elected members of legislative assemblies of all states and Union Territories of Delhi, as well as Puducherry, also take part in the voting process.
The nominated members of either Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha or legislative assemblies of the states are not eligible to be included in the electoral college and therefore, they are not entitled to participate in the election. Similarly, members of the legislative councils are also not electors for the presidential election.
