On Saturday, the bodies of five individuals were discovered floating in a well in Jaipur’s Dudu district, including a baby. The deceased are all members of the same family. These members used to dwell in Meeno ka Mohalla, according to the police, and had left home on May 25 claiming to be going to the market. Their relatives had filed a missing persons report.
The family members, according to the police, had placed posters in several locations in an attempt to find them.
They were all in their thirties. Sisters Kali Devi (27), Mamta Meena (23) and Kamlesh Meena (20), as well as Harshit (4) and a 20-day-old baby, were among those who died.
Three women from the same family were married. The bodies have been taken to be examined by a pathologist. The possibility of suicide is being looked at by the cops. A probe is currently underway.
