Kamrup, Assam: One dead, 12 injured in land dispute clash
On Thursday, 12 individuals were injured and one person died in a fight over a land dispute in Assam’s Kamrup district. According to sources, the event happened on Thursday morning in the Sonotali neighbourhood. “The conflict between two parties over a land dispute resulted in one death and 12 injuries. Four people have been taken into custody in relation to the incident, “Hitesh Roy, the Superintendent of Police in Kamrup, was stated by ANI.
Ali Akbar, 50, a reported local farmer, has been identified as the deceased. According to the authorities, a land dispute in the Sontoli region village of Kismat Kathami ultimately resulted in violence. Iron rods, sticks, and sharp weapons were used by the two parties to assault one another. All of the injured people were initially transported to Sontoli Primary Health Centre, of which eight were were referred to Guwahati Medical College and Hospital for treatment.
