Kidnappers sold infant stolen from Mathura railway station, rescued from Firozabad BJP councilor’s house
The police have located a seven-month-old child who was abducted from close to his sleeping parents at Mathura Railway Station in the early hours of August 24. The police said they busted a ring that stole and sold children after the child was discovered at the home of a BJP corporator in Firozabad.
Using CCTV evidence, the authorities were able to capture the abductor of the infant, who admitted selling the youngster to a Firozabad couple who were in dire need of a son.
It is alleged that BJP leader Vinita Agarwal and her husband bought a boy for Rs 1.8 lakh from two doctors associated with a larger gang. They wanted a son. They already have a daughter.
The police have arrested eight people, including the man who picked up the child from the platform and was caught on security cameras. One Deepak has been identified as the kidnapper caught on CCTV.
The boy was returned to his mother at a press conference given by the Mathura Police on the incident. Stacks of Rs. 500 notes found on the doctors who were arrested were displayed by the police.
