The London Fire Brigade on Monday said it was tackling a fire on the 17th floor of a high-rise apartment block in the east of the city, with 10 engine crews at spot struggling to contain the blaze.
The London Fire Brigade tweeted a video of a high-rise building with orange flames and billowing smoke. The group tweeted they have at least 10 engines on scene  trying to put out the blaze.
We’re dealing with this fire on #WhiteChapel High Street. Ten fire engines & 70 firefighters are at the scene. Please avoid the area if possible said on Twitter.
