The 54th Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship 2022, which is slated to take place from July 15 to July 21 in the Maldives, will feature two girls from Manipur representing India. The two girls are Solimla Jajo (17) and Solan Jajo (17) from the Manipur Ukhrul district. They are both from Kasom Khullen. Solan will compete in the 160 cm Senior Model physique category, while Solimla will compete in the 165 cm Senior Model physique competition, according to reports.
Prior to the competition, the Body Builders Association of Ukhrul District (BBAUD) congratulated and blessed them for the two girls’ qualification for the world fitness competition. According to the reports, Solimla and Solan will represent India at the competition, making a total of seven people. At the Royal gymnasium in the Ukhrul district administrative centre, both of them are undergoing training under the direction of Leishangthem Robert Meitei.
The two students, Solimla and Solan, who recently passed their Class 12 exams, hailed their teacher Robert, who owns the Royal Gymnasium in the Manipuri town of Ukhrul, for providing them with the necessary instruction and direction. Solimla, a Miss Manipur title holder in her weight category in 2019 while she was enrolled in Class 10, commented on their selection for the Asian championship: “I’m delighted and content. I believe that if you are prepared, anything is achievable,” she stated.
