Mumbai man infected with Omicron after receiving three Pfizer doses…
A 29-year-old man from Mumbai was diagnosed with the novel variation Omicron after a trip to the United States. According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, he has been vaccinated with three doses of Pfizer (BMC).
On November 9, the man arrived in Mumbai from New York. The BMC later tracked down the flier and obtained his swab samples for an RT-PCR test, which revealed that he had contracted the virus. After that, samples were sent to the National Institute of Virology (NIV) in Pune for genome sequencing, which verified that he was infected with the Omicron variant.
According to the BMC, the patient received two doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine, which is marketed in the United States under the trade name Comirnaty. He next got a Pfizer booster shot, which is meant to provide him extra protection against Covid-19. The man, on the other hand, is asymptomatic, according to the BMC, and two of his high-risk contacts have tested negative for coronavirus.
