Today in Parliament, MP(LS) from Nagaon, Assam, and former state legislator and cabinet minister Shri Pradyut Bordoloi said: “When certain security personnel acts barbarically against our own population, I feel ashamed as an Indian. The investigation into the Nagaland killings should not be only cosmetic, but rather a model exercise in bringing the culprits in uniform to justice.”
According to him, the Armed Forces Special Power Act extended again in Nagaland but there should be an oversight because many instances have taken place by misusing this act and that is why it is very important that the perpetrators should be brought to justice and amendment of this act should be carried out.
