Since the advent of 82 years old U.S Democrat Nancy Pelosi in Taiwan, tension has been mounting between Taiwan and China. As the Chinese People’s Liberation Army mentioned that it will begin a series of joint military operations,” in the Taiwanese territory the chances of war are high.
But as per the Chinese army, the purpose of these operations is to give the world, specifically the U.S.A, a stern warning against indulging and increasing their negative move in the Taiwanese territory and hence influencing any uprising in the region that supports and ultimately leads to ‘Taiwan Independence’ forces to conspire for
‘independence’.” and thus proving a chinas integrity.
The arrival of the U.S diplomat is also seen as a test of how far the Chinese government will go to deter any foreign support coming from Taiwan. This move by the US has brought the China U.S relation to its worst since 1979.
Although this move was opposed by the White House. China has discarded it as a mere blueprint. However, Pelosi has made it clear that her visit “honors America’s unwavering commitment to supporting Taiwan’s vibrant democracy . . . as the world faces a choice between autocracy and democracy”.
While world leaders have maintained silence on this issue so far. However China’s neighbor India is closely monitoring the situation.
