At a ceremony conducted at Shillong’s U Soso Tham Auditorium on Saturday, the Department of Arts and Culture of the Government of Meghalaya organised the “State Launch of Har Ghar Tiranga” in association with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).
Lahkmen Rymbui, the Minister of Education, attended as the Chief Guest, with DP Wahlang serving as the Guest of Honor.
Rymbui, who spoke at the event, stated that as Indians, we recognise the significance of our National Flag and this is a very important day.
As the nation celebrates its 75th year of independence and Meghalaya marks 50 years as a state, the speaker continued by expressing his admiration for the state’s residents.
He added that we ought to hoist the national flag not just outside our homes but also inside our hearts.
