Parmeswaran Iyer, CEO of Niti Aayog, stated on Wednesday that financing will play a big part in improving electric mobility in the nation over the next few years. He also advocated for lowering financing risks for electric vehicles (EV).
Speaking at a gathering, Iyer emphasised the value of green transportation and claimed that it will significantly aid in decarbonization. Further, he pointed out that given India’s rising urbanisation, there is a need for a wider uptake of electric vehicles in rural areas. In smaller places, Iyer wanted to see more support for EVs.
