The recently launched Doordarshan series “Swaraj: Bharat Ke Swatantra Sangram Ki Samagra Gatha,” which is centred on the unsung heroes of the liberation movement, has been urged by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to be watched by Indians.
“This is a fantastic endeavour to introduce the country’s young people to the contributions of unsung heroes and heroines who took part in the liberation movement… Take some time to watch it, please. In order for our nation to become more aware of these outstanding freedom-fighting pioneers, Modi said in his monthly Mann ki Baat radio address on Sunday.
There will be 75 episodes of the series, which airs on Doordarshan every Sunday at 9 p.m. Nine regional languages, including Tamil, Telegu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, Oriya, Bengali, and Assamese, will be dubs alongside English.
On August 17, JP Nadda, the leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Amit Shah, and Om Birla, the speaker of the Lok Sabha, all joined Modi at a special screening of the television show.
