“India is administering Covid-19 vaccine doses at the highest rate in the world,” says Lav Agarwal, joint secretary, Union Health Ministry. “The daily rate of doses administered here is 4.8 times the rate of doses administered in the United States and 12.5 times the rate of doses administered in the United Kingdom.” According to official data from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India has administered more than 135 crore cumulative doses of the Covid-19 vaccine.
The states that have received the most total dosages are Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and West Bengal. Uttar Pradesh is at the top of the list in every category.
