Russian airborne troops arrived in Kharkiv, Ukraine’s easternmost city, a day after the tragic shelling, and attacked a local hospital. The army of Ukraine stated: “Russian airborne troops landed in Kharkiv… and immediately launched an attack on a nearby hospital. A battle is still going on.” Following a missile bombardment by Russia on Day 7 of the invasion, a heavy cover of smoke engulfed Ukraine’s Nikolaev district as Moscow ramped up its attacks.
Major Ukrainian cities were also bombarded, with reports claiming that Kherson had fallen to Russia.
On the seventh day of the invasion, Russian forces are said to have taken control of Kherson, a southern Ukrainian city. Local officials, on the other hand, have said nothing.
On Tuesday, a massive explosion occurred in central Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second largest city, just in front of the city’s administration building, resulting in a massive fireball that appeared to engulf numerous cars passing through Freedom Square, also killing an Indian student from Karnataka, India, who had gone there to pursue his MBBS degree.
