Russian troops bomb military hospital in the town of Irpin, Ukraine

As shelling continues in the region, Russian soldiers bomb a military hospital in Irpin, just outside Kiev. However, more information on whether or not there have been any casualties is awaited.

The tenth day of Russia’s war on Ukraine has begun. Russian forces shelled Europe’s largest nuclear power station, causing a fire that was put out the next day. There were no signs of radioactive leaks on Friday, according to the United Nations’ nuclear watchdog.

The key port city of Kherson has also been taken seized by the Russians. Even when Ukrainian and Russian delegations met in neighbouring Belarus the day before and agreed to create safe corridors for residents to be evacuated and humanitarian aid to be delivered.

Across Ukraine, people have picked up guns and sought refuge. According to the United Nations Refugee Agency, more than 1.2 million people have fled to neighbouring nations.
