The Second Season Of “Delhi Crime 2” The Indian Crime Series Is Streaming Now On Netflix

The second season of “Delhi Crime 2” is an Indian crime series, streaming now, 26 August on Netflix, directed by Tanuj Chopra and Shefali Shah plays the role of the cop. “No one is born a criminal,” says DCP Vartika Singh (Shefali Shah), suggesting that it’s the ongoing struggle and discrimination between the rich and the poor that push the latter to commit crimes.

The first part of the series in 2019 which focused on the Nirbhaya rape Case was so diligently pieced together, it felt like a work of art masquerading as a true-life documentary. Every actor in, almost every episode, was uniformly brilliant in Season One.

In season two, the same team of cops is on the hunt for a more sinister group of criminals, the dreaded kachha-baniyaan gang. The gang terrorized senior citizens in Delhi by breaking into their homes in the middle of the night and murdering them. The distinguishable feature of the gang was its members dressing in underclothes; hence the name. The members would also lather their bodies with oil, making it difficult to catch them during a chase.

The series also stars Rasika Dugal, Rajesh Tailang, Adil Hussain, Anurag Arora, Yashaswini Dayama, Sidharth Bhardwaj, Gopal Dutt, Denzil Smith, Tillotama Shome, Jatin Goswami, Vyom Yadav and Ankit Sharma.

Created by Richie Mehta and produced by SK Global Entertainment, Golden Karavan and Film Karavan, Delhi Crime Season 2 is inspired by true events and is directed by showrunner Tanuj Chopra. Writers are Mayank Tewari, Shubhra Swarup, Vidit Tripathi, Ensia Mirza, Sanyuktha Chawla Shaikh and Virat Basoya.
