TMC leader Muhua Moitra would address the issue of the BJP's illegal construction in Goa in the Parliament.

In charge of the All India Trinamool Congress (ATC), Goa  Mahua Moitra announced on Friday that she will bring the matter of the 'illegal' construction in Old Goa to Parliament. Moitra paid a visit to the ongoing "Satyagraha" against an unlawful construction in Old Goa, where he met social activists and members of the civil society who are on an indefinite hunger strike.

The BJP has been criticized by residents of Old Goa for approving a project area despite obvious flaws. She intends to discuss the issue when parliament reconvenes on November 29, 2021.

Moitra said, "I am here to extend all support to our team that is battling it out in the heat, fighting for the rights of Goans." She added that Goa TMC leader Ana Gracias, who is leading the ground protest, "I am here to extend all support to our team that is battling it out in the heat, fighting for the rights of Goans." This is a complete embarrassment. The whole of Goa can see what's going on. We'll bring this up in parliament next week."

She also posted a video on Twitter showing how BJP MPs in Old Goa changed a 51-square-meter fisherman's hut within an ASI-protected area into an 800-square-meter luxury home. According to her, the North Goa MP, the Chief Minister, and the Prime Minister have all remained silent on the issue. It's not good enough to build temples in one region while destroying the legacy of other states elsewhere in the country. She remarked that it is past time for the BJP and the people of Goa to wake up to this.
