US used Pakistan for Its own Motive while China has aided Pakistan in its time of need: Imran Khan

According to The News reported, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has stated that the United States has always utilized his country for its own goals.

“Whenever the US needed us, they developed links with us, and Pakistan became a frontline state,” he explained. “Then they abandoned it and put sanctions on us when their objectives were met.”

The Prime Minister made the comments during an interview with Eric Li, the director of Fudan University’s China Institute’s advisory committee.

He claimed that there was a time when Pakistan and the United States had close connections, but that when Pakistan was no longer needed, the US removed itself from it.

Later on, he said, amicable relations between the United States and Pakistan were re-established, and Islamabad became a US ally. “At the time, the United States aided us, but once the Soviet Union departed Afghanistan, the United States placed sanctions on Pakistan.”

He claimed that after nine years, when 9/11 occurred, relations between the United States and Pakistan improved once more. When the United States failed in Afghanistan, Pakistan was blamed. According to the statement, Khan stated that Pakistan has not maintained connections with the United States as it does with China. China is a long-standing friend of Pakistan, with 70 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries. In every arena, Pakistan has stood by China’s side, and China has aided Pakistan in its time of need.
