The CCTV video shared on Twitter by author Tansu Yegen has gone viral with over Million+ views of the brave lady. So, the incident occurred in Mevlana Bakery in the Netherlands’ Deventer on Tuesday. The lady in the viral video is Latife Peker. The incident happened when Latife was behind the counter of her son’s bakery dusting and cleaning the area, when someone sneeked with a hoodie into the bakery and approached the cash register. This did not scare the lady, infact when she saw him, she defended herself and starts hitting the robber on the head with a cleaning cloth while spraying him in his face with a cleaning spray. Thereafter a visitor came to the bakery helping the lady, meanwhile the man kept hiding his face and escaped from their grip.
“Someone headed for the cash till. I had a cleaning towel and cleaning spray. When I lunged him with the towel, we started scuffling. At that moment, a customer came in and the thief started running. It happened suddenly. I did not even realize that he had a chopping knife. The death never crossed my mind,” Peker was quoted saying by Dutch media outlets.
Although Latife is still recovering from the shock and the scenario where she thrashed the man with her hand gestures.
