According to the latest reports, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Wednesday that a third World War would entail nuclear weapons and be disastrous. Russia, which launched a “special military operation” against Ukraine last week, would face a “serious risk” if Kyiv obtained nuclear weapons, according to Lavrov.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian capital’s mayor, Vitali Klitschko, claimed in an online post on Wednesday that Russia is bringing troops closer to Kyiv. “We’re getting ready to defend Kyiv!” he continued. “Kyiv has stood firm and will continue to stand firm.”
According to a Reuters, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy stated that about 6,000 Russians were killed in the first six days of the battle. This comes amid reports of Russian airborne forces landing in Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second-largest city, and Russian military claims to have taken control of Kherson, in the country’s south.
