Defence Minister Rajnath Singh slams Rahul for ‘trusting Chinese more than Indian soldiers’

UP Feb 5: Defence minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday lashed out at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for, what he claimed was an attitude of “trusting the Chinese more than the valour of the Indian Army” and said India was no more a “weak nation” and the world had begun listening to what the country said.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi recently said in Parliament that the number of casualties on the Indian side was higher compared to the Chinese side in a conflict involving the soldiers of the two countries in Ladakh’s Galwan valley.

Australian media published that claimed that 38-50 Chinese soldiers were killed in the Galwan valley conflict, Singh said, “Rahul Gandhi believes in the media of China and raises questions on the courage and valour of Indian soldiers. It hurts when he misleads the people of the country from Parliament.” The defence minister Rajnath Singh addressed two rallies here in support of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidates in the Kheragarh and Agra Rural constituencies ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls.“ Earlier India was not taken that seriously but now under PM Modi, India is no longer a weak nation. In Uri and Pulwama, our soldiers were killed in cross border terrorism. We took quick decisions, crossed the border and gave a message to the world that if it concerns our defence, India is capable of not only defending its border but can also attack on the other side of the border,” defence minister Rajnath Singh said.

“We have given a message to the world that India is not a weak nation now. We can cross the border and attack. As the defence minister of India, I am of the firm belief that no one can attack the pride of India,” defence minister Rajnath Singh said.
