A Fuel Tanker Caught Fire And Exploded In Lagos, Nigeria

A tanker loaded with diesel has caught fire and exploded at Ibafo, on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway in Ogun State, Nigeria. One person was injured in the explosion; however, no casualties were recorded so far.

The inferno was reported at 3:44 pm local time (8:14 pm IST) at an articulated Motor Park, Otto Wharf road, Mile 2, the startling incident occurred when a tanker carrying fuel exploded and resulted in an indestructible fire caught on several vehicles.

The Lago fire department has given out the information that the fire involved quite several Tankers, Peddler Trucks, various sizes of storage Tanks and Drums all stocked in AGO.

It assured that they have doused the fire and was under control. “The Public is hereby assured that the situation is under control as the spread of the Fire has been caught”.
