Actor R. Madhavan experienced a moment of enormous pride when he was asked to visit the chief minister of Odisha in recognition of his son’s accomplishments in the sport of swimming. Actor R Madhavan recently met Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik along with his wife Sarita Birje and son Vedaant Madhavan. At the 48th Junior National Aquatic Championships, Vedaant just broke a junior national record.
The 48th Junior National Aquatic Championships, which ended on July 20 at the Biju Patnaik Swimming Pool inside the venerable Kalinga Stadium, saw the setting of a total of 26 new records. After R Madhavan met the Odisha CM with his family, he was overwhelmed with pride on being honored over his son’s accomplishment.
The actor stated in his message that he appreciated the Chief Minister’s generosity and hospitality, saying, “It was wonderful to meet Shri @Naveen Odisha Ji, the honourable CM and a dynamic individual. Thank you very much for the warm welcome and the amazing effort you made to ensure that Odisha was listed among India’s Best Sports Venues. Your dedication to the future of sports is inspiring.” As part of his interaction with the CM, Madhavan also showed the CM some motivating pictures.

A number of times, the actor has been proud of his son’s achievements in swimming. Vedaant Madhavan is a professional swimmer who won a gold medal at the Danish Open 2022 in Copenhagen.
