On July 16, the Union Health Ministry dispatched a highly qualified medical team to the state, and its members visited the infected person’s home, a medical school, and other locations. Later, medical professionals discovered that he had the West African form of the virus.
In the state’s Kannur district, Kerala announced the second case of monkeypox on Monday. According to George, the patient’s health is stable and she has been admitted to the Pariyaran government medical college hospital.
