Army says 7 personnel, struck by Arunachal Pradesh avalanche found dead
The Army confirmed on Tuesday that the seven servicemen killed in an avalanche in Arunachal Pradesh have died.
“Seven Army troops were struck by an avalanche in high altitude area of Kameng Sector in Arunachal Pradesh on 6 February and their remains were collected from the avalanche scene,” the Indian Army said.
Since the last few days, the 14,500-foot-high area has been experiencing bad weather and heavy snowfall. “The bodies of the soldiers are currently being transported from the avalanche site to the nearest Army medical facility for further formalities,” the commander said.
