According to data from the Government of India’s Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, 660 persons died in Assam due to JE between 2015 and 2021. In Assam, 135 persons died by Japanese Encephalitis in 2015, 92 in 2016, 87 in 2017, 94 in 2018, 161 in 2019, 51 in 2020, and 40 in 2021.
