Assam reports 764 new COVID-19 cases; three new deaths

According to a National Health Mission bulletin issued on Tuesday, Assam recorded 764 new COVID-19 cases, 615 more than the previous day, bringing the total to 7,30,907 cases. Three more people died from the sickness in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 6,651, according to the report. On Monday, at least 351 people recovered from the ailment, bringing the overall number of recoveries to 7,18,495 persons.

The recovery rate among coronavirus patients was 98.30%. Assam now has 4,409 open cases, up from 3,691 the day before. Darrang, Golaghat, and Jorhat have reported three new deaths as a result of coronavirus infection.

According to the report, 65 infections were discovered in Goalpara, 61 in Baksa, and 59 in Dibrugarh and Kamrup (Metro).

According to the bulletin, 28,448,489 samples have been tested for COVID-19 in the state so far. It further stated that over 4.72 crore vaccination doses have been administered to eligible individuals.
