PRAYAGRAJ On Friday, anonymous miscreants placed libellous posters on the walls and in some other places to welcome students, faculty, and staff to the Allahabad University (AU) campus. According to officials, messages on the QR-coded posters indicated wrongdoing in the university's ongoing teacher recruitment process. Sangita Srivastava, vice chancellor of the AU, and other teaching and non-teaching staff members involved in the ongoing recruitment process had their photos, names, and phone numbers on the posters. The V-C, Registrar NK Shukla, Sociology Department Head Ashish Saxena, Former Economics Department Head Manmohan Krishna, and Current Deputy Registrar and Officiating Controller of Examination AK Kanojia were all depicted in the QR codes along with their respective photographs.
The ads stated that anyone seeking employment at AU may pay these representatives using the QR code.
The posters also included the names of Avinash Srivastava, a professor at the state university's philosophy department, and Rajju Bhaiya State University PRO.
AU PRO Such posters are an evident attempt to delay teacher recruitment and damage the reputation of those participating in this process, according to Jaya Kapoor. The university administration has strongly recognised the issue and is taking the required action.
