BTS Announces Indefinite Break To Focus On Solo Careers: ‘We’re Trying To Find Our Identity’
BTS, a popular Korean boy band, has announced that they will be taking a break to pursue their solo careers. The K-Pop trio revealed the huge news on Tuesday, June 14, during their annual FESTA dinner, which is part of their 9th anniversary celebration.
BTS members RM, Jimin, Jungkook, V, J-Hope, Jin, and Suga told their fans that taking an extended sabbatical will help them uncover their individuality and give them time to focus on solo projects while also allowing them to rest.
RM aka Namjoon, the only English-speaking member of the group, reveals why they have decided to go solo, saying that the whole K-Pop Idol thing is a constant work, which does not allow the artistes the time to focus on their respective solo careers, as they now intend to do with their break.
Defending his decision, he said, “We’ve lost our direction and I just need time to think and then come back, but that just feels rude to my fans, like I’m letting them down.” Now that we are in the midst of finding our stories and our voice, I think we are ready to think about how we want to be remembered.” That’s why we’re going through a rough patch right now. A long and exhausting process is being undertaken by the group to find its identity, said member Jimin, 26.
“As a firm, we’ve changed our approach toward solo initiatives, therefore this is a new direction for us.” “J-Hope contributes to the concept.
“Right now, we need change,” he believes.
“I swear we will return someday, more mature than now,” Jungkook says at the conclusion, as a ray of hope for the fans. Until then, we respectfully want your blessing.”
The Bangtan Boys, or BTS, made their debut in the year 2013. Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook have been a part of the group for nearly nine years, delighting fans all over the world while delivering powerful vibes.
