At the Kamakhya Junction Railway Station in Guwahati on Tuesday, a massive shipment of cannabis weighing 40 kilograms was discovered. Sources claim that the cannabis was found hidden behind food in the food preparation bogie in the southbound Brahmaputra Mail.
However, it was claimed that Railway Protection Force attempted to conceal the occurrence. Meanwhile, Guwahati police arrested a lady for allegedly trafficking cannabis and confiscated vast quantities of the illegal drug.
The police claimed that they took over 25 kg of cannabis from her during the raid at her home. Police also discovered an automobile and cash totaling over a lakh.
