Is the cement price going up by Rs 15 per bag in December?

According to Emkay Global Financial Services Ltd., the cost of cement is increasing steadily across the nation and has increased by Rs. 16 per bag since August of this year. The prices increased by around Rs 6-7/bag in November, the company reported.
According to Emkay Global, prices in the Northern, Eastern, and Southern regions of the country increased while rates in the Western and Central regions of the country stayed stable.

The cement producers are reportedly proposing additional price increases of Rs 10-15/bag across the nation this month. "Over the next days, the extent of the price increases' absorption will become clear. The volume drive by ACC and Ambuja in December is probably going to be constrained due to the transition in their financial years (from December to March). In the short term, this is favorable for the pricing trend "said Emkay Global.
