Jacqueline Fernandez and Nora Fatehi confessed to receiving gifts worth crores; ED

The Enforcement Directorate has said in its charge sheet that actors Jacqueline Fernandez and Nora Fatehi confessed to receiving gifts worth crores from the accused in the alleged multi-crore extortion racket run by conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar. Chandrashekhar’s wife is said to have played a key role in the conman lavishing gifts on the two actors, ranging from an iPhone to a BMW automobile.

Chandrashekhar, his wife Leena Maria Paul, and six others were named in the charge sheet submitted by the agency earlier this month in a Delhi court. The agency’s interrogation of both actors is crucial as it analyses the money route.

Chandrashekhar’s presents to both actors have been revealed.

Sukesh Chandrashekhar made a “spoof” calls to actor Jacqueline Fernandez, imitating Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s office number, according to the agency, while Nora Fatehi met the conman through his wife at a charity event in Chennai.

Nora Fatehi disclosed to Sukesh Chandrashekhar that he had given her a BMW vehicle during her interrogation. As a “symbol of love,” Chandrashekhar’s wife, Leena Maria Paul, was also given a Gucci bag and an iPhone by her husband.

Ms. Fernandez, who has appeared before the Enforcement Directorate twice this year, is said to have admitted to accepting a 1.5 lakh dollar loan from Chandrashekhar, as well as presents such as a 52 lakh horse and a 9 lakh Persian cat, multi-stone earrings, and a Hermes bracelet.
