Joe Biden attacks Vladimir Putin, Russian will suffer in years ahead

Even if Russia’s Vladimir Putin succeeds on the battlefield in Ukraine, US President Joe Biden pledged on Tuesday that he will pay in the long term. In his State of the Union address, Biden remarked, “While he may make gains on the battlefield, he will pay a continuing high price in the long run.” “He has no idea what’s coming,” the president of the United States stated. On the sixth day of Russia’s invasion of its European neighbour, he spoke before Congress as Kyiv faced a miles-long armoured Russian column threatening to take over the Ukrainian capital.

“When history is written about this era, Putin’s assault on Ukraine will have left Russia weaker and the rest of the world stronger,” he said. Biden, who spoke with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy earlier in the day, has rejected direct US military involvement on the ground in Ukraine. However, the United States has shared intelligence on Russia’s efforts and led the world in slapping historic economic penalties on Putin’s administration, allies, and the country’s top banks, pushing the currency into freefall.
