Since last year, the price of edible oils has been skyrocketing. However, key edible oil businesses, such as Adani Wilmar and Ruchi Soya, have cut the maximum retail price (MRP) of their products by 10-15% to bring relief to customers, according to industry organisation SEA on Monday.
Adani Wilmar (on Fortune brands), Ruchi Soya (on Mahakosh, Sunrich, Ruchi Gold, and Nutrella brands), Emami (on Healthy & Tasty brands), Bunge (on Dalda, Gagan, and Chambal brands), and Gemini (on Freedom sunflower oil brands) have all decreased their costs, according to the report.
Prices have also been decreased by COFCO (Nutrilive brands), Frigorifico Allana (Sunny brands), Gokul Agro (Vitalife, Mahek, and Zaika brands), and others, according to the report.
In a statement, the Solvent Extractors Association of India (SEA) said, “We are delighted to inform that our top members have responded proactively and reduced on edible oils marketed by them across the board by 10-15% to bring assistance to consumers during the festival season.”
