Meghalaya: Garo Hills Cop Sentenced To Five Year Jail Term For Molesting Minor Girl

Having sexually assaulted a young girl in 2013, a police officer in Meghalaya’s East Garo Hills was given a five-year prison sentence. The East Garo Hills district sessions and POCSO court handed down a five-year prison sentence to the policeman, who has been identified as Ajaybirth Ch Marak. Marak was an odd constable for the Meghalaya police, it should be emphasised. The horrible act was committed on January 24, 2013, when the prisoner molested a child girl, age 8, inside her home.

Marak was already incarcerated in Meghalaya’s Williamnagar jail when the East Garo Hills district sessions and POCSO court rendered its decision.
