With the new plans, the American behemoth has decided to align its offerings with those offered by other streaming providers in the country.
With the increased tariffs, the Rs 199 mobile plan is now Rs 149 per month. Furthermore, the Rs 499 Basic plan will now cost Rs 199, a significant reduction in pricing. The Rs 649 per month Standard plan will now cost Rs 499, and the Rs 799 Premium plan will now cost Rs 649. This is a huge price reduction, and it puts Netflix in a much better position to compete with other streaming services in the country, such as Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar, and others.
These plans’ benefits remain unchanged, and nothing has changed in that department. Netflix Mobile is now available at Rs 149, but it will only work on a mobile or tablet with a 480p resolution. The account can only be viewed by one device at a time with this plan.
The base package, which costs Rs 199 per month, would be limited to 480p, although customers will be able to access their accounts via computer and television. In this case, the device limit stays at one.
The basic service now costs Rs 499 and includes support for up to two devices at the same time, as well as a 1080p resolution. This subscription allows subscribers to watch content on any device, including their phones, tablets, computers, and televisions.
The premium Netflix service now costs Rs 649 and allows for simultaneous use of up to four devices. Subscribers to this package can watch material in 4K resolution on any platform, including mobile, tablet, computer, and television.
