One civilian shot dead, another injured in a terror attack in Jammu & Kashmir
In a terror attack that took place in Shopian, Jammu and Kashmir, on Tuesday, one civilian was shot and killed while another was injured.
According to a tweet from J&K Police, the injured person is receiving medical attention at a hospital and both are members of minority populations.
One Sunil Kumar was fatally shot, and it is thought that his brother is the one who was injured.
Police have not yet confirmed that the brothers are Kashmiri Pandits, despite initial reports to that effect.
Altaf Thakur, the Bharatiya Janata Party’s J&K spokesman, stated that he “seriously condemn(s) the wicked act of terror.”
“Condemn vehemently the heinous act of terror against defenceless members of the majority community at Shopian, which resulted in the death of Sunil Kumar, a member of the minority group, and the injury of another. There is no religion in terrorism. Killers should be punished, “He remarked.
