The foundation stone for the Noida International Airport, near Jewar in Uttar Pradesh’s Gautam Buddh Nagar district, was placed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday. This will be the fifth international airport in the state of Uttar Pradesh, the most of any state.

This will be the Prime Minister’s first public appearance in western Uttar Pradesh since the farm rules were repealed.
Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, said he anticipates investments of over 10,000 crores in the first phase and up to 35,000 crores once the airport is completed. Jyotiraditya Scindia, the Union Civil Aviation Minister, claims that the Noida airport will be Asia’s largest and will employ more than one lakh people.
