Rishabh Pant is Mirzapur’s new ‘Munna Bhaiya’ in the cricket world

Rishabh Pant, the wicketkeeper-batsman for India against England, displayed an entirely different side of himself after hammering a match-winning tonne in the third and final ODI.

On Twitter, Pant shared a photo of himself wearing a gold chain and a stylish outfit while standing next to a chair and captioned it with a line from the web series Mirzapur.
In addition, Rishabh Pant tweeted, “Aur hum ek naya niyam add kar rahe hain, Mirzapur ki gaddi pe baithne wala kabhi bhi niyam badal sakta hai, Munna Bhaiya.”

The post from Pant went viral online because so many fans were astonished to discover such a funny side of the wicketkeeper-batter.

Regarding the third one-day international against England, Rishabh Pant’s undefeated 125* and his 133-run partnership with Hardik Pandya enabled India to defeat England 260 runs to win the three-match series 2-1.

On the SPORTS18 programme “SPORTS OVER THE TOP,” former India cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar lauded Pant for his performance.

“Yes, I just hope Hardik can maintain his level of fitness. Rishabh Pant is without problems. The sheer talent and ability of these two players, their temperament and ability to work effectively together over a long period of time, and how easy India ultimately prevailed left me in awe of what we witnessed on that penultimate day. Rishabh Pant deserves praise for persisting until the very end “According to Sanjay Manjrekar.

So, certainly, excellent batsmen. Whether it’s T20 cricket or 50 over cricket, they’ll primarily bat at numbers 4 and 5, but Pant might open the innings. We had a lot of trouble in 2019 locating a suitable middle order, but now we have some high-quality supply,” he continued.

Rishabh Pant will next be seen in action in the T20I series against West Indies, starting from July 29.
